Technical Advisory Committee

February 11, 2010, 12 noon – Iowa DOT Offices, Ames – The second meeting of the Technical Advisory Committee focused on collecting input from committee members on the goals of the IASP and factors that influence classification of airport roles.  

August 26, 2009, 11 a.m. — Iowa DOT Offices, Ames — The Iowa Aviation System Plan (IASP) Update project kicked-off with a meeting of the Technical Advisory Committee members in Ames. At the meeting, an introduction to the project and system plan process was presented. Advisory Committee members discussed the mission, goals, objectives, and performance measures to be included in the 2010 IASP Update.

Next Meeting

The next Technical Advisory Committee meeting will be held 11:30 a.m. on June 22 at the Cloud Room in the main terminal building at the Des Moines International Airport in Des Moines.

Public Involvement Meetings

Due to inclement weather, public input sessions scheduled for December 8, 2009 and January 21, 2010 at the Ankeny Regional Conference were cancelled.

Public Input Session – Two public input sessions were held on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 in Carroll at the Carrollton Inn and Thursday, October 22, 2009 in Cedar Rapids at the Kirkwood Center for Continuing Education. 

These public input sessions were designed for anyone interested in Iowa’s aviation system.  At the meetings, the intent of the study was explained, attendees were queried about their use of the existing IASP, and issues that should be addressed in the 2010 IASP were solicited.

These public input meetings were held in conjunction with the Airport Management 101 workshops.  Additional information regarding the workshops can be found at www.iawings.com
