2008 and 2007 — Named the best engineering firm and one of the top three and architectural–design firms, by Corporate Report Wisconsin magazine in “Best of Wisconsin” competition.
2008 — Airport engineer–of–the–year award, Lisa Kinsman, PE, and Distinguished service, Helena Ziegler, Wisconsin Airport Management Association.
2008 — Dane Country Regional Airport Development and La Courte D’Oreilles Hydroelectric projects were recognized as having “significantly shaped the face of the state over the past 50 years” by the American Council of Engineering Companies of Wisconsin (ACEC–WI). The airport development project won top honors for the Southwest Region.
2008* — Ranked 301 in Engineering News Record’s top 500 design firms list. Recognized as Top 25 in the nation for airport consulting in ENR’s Sourcebook.
2008 — Portage County Canal and Dane Country Regional Airport Environmental projects named state finalists in ACEC–WI’s Engineering Excellence award program.
2008 — Excellence in Lighting Design award from the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America for Lakeshore State Park project on Lake Michigan in downtown Milwaukee. The park’s focal point is a graceful pedestrian bridge linking the island to the shore.
2008* — Ranked as 4th largest engineering firm in the state by Wisconsin Builder magazine for the third year in a row. The Milwaukee Business Journal’s 2008 Book of Lists ranks Mead & Hunt the 7th largest engineering firm in Wisconsin based on the number of engineers.
2008 — Awarded the Asphalt Pavement Association of Michigan’s Award of Excellence presented the award for design of the Taxiway B relocation project at Kalamazoo — Battle Creek International.
2008 — Recognized for “2008 Top Projects” by Wisconsin Builder magazine for the Camp Douglas Readiness Center, the Lactalis Plant Expansion, the Portage Canal Restoration Project, and the General Mitchell Airport Concourse C eight–gate addition.
2008 — Dane County Regional Airport was named one of the “Top 20” most noteworthy airports in the world by Passenger Terminal World magazine. The airport was recognized for its environmental build program, a green project lead by Mead & Hunt.
2008* — The 2008 Book of Business, published by the Wisconsin State Journal, ranked Mead & Hunt as the second largest architectural firm and nineth largest engineering firm in Dane County. Also ranked as fourth largest engineering in Dane County by InBusiness magazine’s Book of Lists.
2007 — ACI–NA Environmental Achievement Award for the Dane County Regional Airport Runway Safety Area.
2007 — Bruce Hawkinson and Warren Isaacson received American Water Works Association’s Raymond J Faust Award, the highest section award, and Warren also received the Fuller Award.
2007 — Lactalis Plant Expansion was recognized by the Wisconsin Chapter of ABC as a Project of Distinction. Mead & Hunt was the designer and Kramer Brothers LLC the contractor.
2007 — Airport engineer–of–the–year award, Kevin Sielaff, PE, Wisconsin Airport Management Association.
2007 — Rajan Sheth awarded the President’s Award from the ACEC–WI for his efforts on behalf of consulting engineering firms and the profession.
2007 — Volk Field Air Traffic Control Tower received a Merit Award in the Facility Design Category of the 2007 US Air Force Design Awards Program.
2006 — Rajendra Juyal awarded the credential of Diplomate, Water Resources Engineer from the American Academy of Water Resources Engineers; only a few hundred people in the United States have earned this credential.
2006 — Terry Kennedy awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Construction Club of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Dept at the University of Wisconsin.
2006 — Ron Corso recognized with the Henwood Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Hydropower Assoc.
2006 — Asphalt Paving Association’s Smoothness Award for Mason City Airport’s runway resurfacing project in Iowa.
2005 — Air traffic control tower at the WK Kellogg Airport was designated as “Project of the Year” by the American Public Works Association (APWA), Michigan Chapter.
2005 — Engineering and Surveying Excellence Award for Tulip City Airport Tunnel from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Michigan (ACEC) and the Michigan Society of Professional Engineers (MSPE).
2005 — Midwest Construction magazine’s Award of Merit for the completion of a $33 million renovation project at Dane County Regional Airport.
2005 — Tulip City Airport tunnel project received a construction “Award of Excellence” from the Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Michigan. (Mead & Hunt designed this project)
2005 — The Daily Reporter Top Projects awards for the rebuild of Foremost Farms USA Reedsburg and the terminal expansion at Austin Straubel International Airport.
2005 — Asphalt Paving Association’s award for work at Klamath Falls Airport’s west apron project in Oregon.
2005 — Pellston Regional Airport and Ajax Paving Industries received the Michigan Concrete Paving Association Award for the Airports category.
