USH 151 Dickeyville, Airport Road – Grant County, Wisconsin
This project consisted of the construction of five structures, extensive grading including rock excavation, concrete and asphalt paving, base course, traffic control, and stream relocation. The project cost was approximately $17 million. This project encountered very deep rock cuts, poor soil conditions, complicated erosion control, and archaeological sites.
Mead & Hunt staff managed the construction of the structures and acted as the assistant project engineer for the rest of the project. This team was also responsible for contract administration, inspection, materials sampling and testing, and calculation of final quantities.
USH 151 (CTH D - STH 126) – Grant and Lafayette Counties, Wisconsin
This project consisted of concrete paving and finishing items to open to traffic the new four-lane portion of USH 151 between Belmont and Platteville. The $6.7 million project included concrete pavement, Hot Mix Asphalt pavement, beam guard, staged traffic control, signing, joint routing, asphaltic rumble strips, raised pavement markers, and pavement markings. This project was built in conjunction with an adjoining Wisconsin Department of Transportation project.
Mead & Hunt provided the project leader and support staff. This team was responsible for contract administration, inspection, nuclear density testing, and calculation of final quantities.
