Passenger Terminal – Pellston Regional Airport

Mead & Hunt provided planning, design, and construction administration for this 34,548-square-foot, two-story passenger terminal.  Primarily, this airport serves the Minneapolis and Detroit hubs.  Passenger traffic depends heavily on seasonal tourist traffic and business commuters. 

The terminal includes a restaurant, bar, conference area, and secured departure lounge.  Planning and design goals were to increase operational efficiency. 

Using a Northern Michigan lodge theme, the new design improves the airport’s ambiance by incorporating surrounding image concepts.  This has also significantly increased traffic at the airport, which is already planning an expansion.
