Electrical Design for Runway 16L/34R – Eugene Airport
Eugene, Oregon
Eugene Airport is building parallel Runway 16L/34R as a replacement of the current crosswind runway and as part of a long-term program to reconfigure the airfield. It will be 6,000 feet long and 150 feet wide and designed to air carrier standards. The project includes installation of medium-intensity runway and taxiway lighting, precision approach path indicators, and runway end identifier lights.
The runway will serve as a replacement to the existing crosswind runway to increase airfield operational capacity and to create a larger development area for aviation-related facilities. In addition, the new runway will put the airport into compliance with FAA’s runway safety area (RSA) standards.
