Security improvements - Dane County Regional Airport

Mead & Hunt has been working on Dane County Regional Airport’s security systems since 1991.  Our work involved the installation of Access Control Systems, Intrusion Detection, and Video surveillance systems.

While security at Dane County went through smaller upgrades through the years in 2003 the airport required a completed redesign of their security system.
Mead & Hunt went with a more sophisticated Access Control System that uses proximity cards instead of magnetic strips.  Identification card cameras were upgraded from film to digital, and the video surveillance recording device went from a tape drive to a hard drive.

Mead & Hunt expanded on this system in 2004 when the airport underwent a major terminal expansion.  The airport went from nearly 50 access points to more than 100.  Our firm also supervised the work of the new security system implementation.
