New Passenger Terminal - Waukesha County Airport

Waukesha, Wisconsin

First impressions mean a lot.  That’s why Waukesha County Airport chose to upgrade their airport.  Designated as the newest gateway to the Waukesha community, this facility will attract corporate flyers traveling to the greater Milwaukee community.  The number of corporate flights will increase once the pilots have a chance to enjoy the comfortable spaces while waiting for their clients.  Corporate professionals will use this terminal to meet and greet their clients, and this facility provides a first-class setting to enhance their image.

The clean and simple corporate office exterior of the new 12,000-square-foot terminal building is reflected in the classic light-filled interior.  The facility was designed to mirror the wide-open experience of air travel.  The main lobby of the building reaches skyward, encouraging visitors to look up toward wide-open spaces.  The high and expansive surrounding windows bring in vast amounts of natural light and provides an unobstructed view.  Inside and out, the building details are simple and straightforward.

Our added value to Waukesha County Airport
The plans and specifications for the single-story terminal were completed within 45 days of the notice to proceed - keeping the project on schedule.  The success of the project continued, as the accepted low bid was within $1,400 of the established budget.

Due to the complete and easy to follow plans and specifications, the contractor had no questions during construction of the foundation and the raising of the structural steel.  The drawings were so clearly defined that the project construction team was able to enclose the facility before the winter winds began blowing across the airport’s newly constructed runways, aprons, and taxiways.
