Wind Farm Survey – Wisconsin
Northeastern Wisconsin
Mead & Hunt conducted a reconnaissance-level survey of rural properties directly or indirectly affected by the proposed installation of two wind farms. Properties within the preliminary project boundaries and properties within a one-mile radius from the boundaries were evaluated using National Register criteria. The project area included family farms, residences, and corporate farms.
Six eligible or listed properties were identified in the Area of Potential Effects. By using photo simulated images, Mead & Hunt was able to demonstrate that the visual impact of the wind turbines on the historic properties would not affect their architectural or historical significance.
