What you should know about EAS funding

A few weeks ago the United States Congress passed what is being called a “minibus”, which is essentially an appropriations bill funding certain departments for the 2012 fiscal year. One of the departments that was funded inside of this bill was the Department of Transportation.
The bill included funding for the Essential Air Service program, which could potentially have an impact for years to come on smaller communities nationwide. Jeffrey Hartz explains certain excerpts from the House Resolution (HR) 2112. Continue reading
