Mead & Hunt, Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and the Mesa Convention and Visitors Bureau hosted the first annual Air Service Development 101 Conference on January 18- 20 in Mesa, Arizona. Twenty-five airports from across the country attended.

Current and former airline planners and air service development experts gave presentations and answered attendee’s questions. Topics that were covered included:
- Airline updates from Allegiant Air, American Eagle, Frontier Airlines and SkyWest Airlines
- Industry trends
- Knowing your market
- Making your pitch
The event started with an opening reception at the Arizona Golf Resort. Thursday included all-day sessions with presentations from Allegiant Air, American Eagle and Frontier Airlines and ended with a dinner and tour at the Arizona Commemorative Air Force Museum. Friday’s half-day session included an update from SkyWest Airlines followed by a mad dash to the airport for those that needed to catch flights home.
