The FAA always advises airports to start planning early.
La Crosse Municipal Airport’s taxiway project is a great example of why early planning and collaboration are so important to the success of a complex project. Airport Improvement magazine features this project in their September issue.
Mead & Hunt assisted the airport with each step, from planning and environmental, to design through construction. Two separate mitigation sites were required to offset the impact to wetlands, migratory waterfowl and fishery.
To get a full appreciation of this airport’s setting and its challenges, just look at an aerial photo. You can read more about this project in the September issue of Airport Improvement magazine.
