Society for Industrial Archeology – Call for Papers

Historic bridges are a focus at SIA Conferences

The Society for Industrial Archeology invites proposals for papers and poster displays to be presented at the 41st Annual Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 2, 2012. 

Presentations on all topics related to industrial archeology, technology, social change related to industry and bridges are  welcome. Presentation Formats: Proposals may be for individual papers, 20 minutes in length, a group of themed papers filling a 90-minute session or organized 90-minute panel discussions.  Proposals are due March 31, 2011.

Christina specializes in historic preservation of transportation and engineering structures. She evaluates the significance of properties ranging from missile defense systems to road corridors, and develops creative mitigation strategies for projects.
