Mead & Hunt worked with PacifiCorp and numerous stakeholders to develop plans to decommission the 95-year old Condit Dam – allowing the 92-acre Northwestern Lake to flow back into the White Salmon River. 	temp_array['p_photo_1_descr']=['In June 2008, torrential rainfall caused the shores of Lake Delton to fail, draining the lake and destroying a state highway. A timely repair was needed to fix the breach, restore the road, and restore tourism. Design, review and construction processes were expedited by coordinating them concurrently with multiple agencies. In less than a year, the lake was refilled and the highway repaired. We gained national recognition for exemplary project management and unique engineering solutions.'];

We developed a plan to return Dell Creek’s flow to the dam sluiceways, designed a breach closure cofferdam and embankment, and designed modifications to Dell Creek Dam to improve its spillway discharge capacity.  We responded to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s fast-track approach by closing the breach and improving the dam by late 2008, paving the way for lake refill by May 2009.'];
