Project ParticipationInformation on project participation includes:
Open HousesThe EA project will include two (2) sets of informational open houses. The open houses will provide an opportunity to present project information, answer questions and gather input. These meetings are open to the public and attendance is encouraged. Each set of public open houses will include two sessions, one in the City of Pullman and one in the City of Moscow on back-to-back evenings. The open houses will present identical topics and materials. The open houses will be timed to occur at the following milestones:
The first set of open houses were held in November 2013. The Pullman event was held Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the Holiday Inn Express (1190 SE Bishop Boulevard, Pullman, WA). The Moscow event was held Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the University Inn Best Western Conference Center (1516 Pullman Road Moscow, ID). This meeting included information on the environmental process, project history, and alternatives considered. Spring Open House AnnouncedThe Pullman event will be Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the Brelsford WSU Visitor Center, located at 150 E. Spring Street, Pullman, WA. The Moscow event will be Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the University Inn Best Western Conference Center at 1516 Pullman Road Moscow, ID. Both events will begin at 4:00 pm and continue through 6:00 pm. They are drop-in events and all are welcome. The Open Houses will offer a relaxed, interactive setting for interested citizens to learn more about the environmental categories being evaluated as part of the project, and the alternatives being consider. Information about the Environmental Assessment will be on display. Airport staff and the project team will be on site to answer questions. Guests may also leave written comments and questions. Public HearingsIn addition, one set of public hearings will be held upon completion of the Draft EA which will include the Preferred Alternative Selection (anticipated Summer 2014). Public Meeting Notice: All meetings are publically advertised by the Airport through local news media. Also, community members may sign up here to receive an email notification approximately two weeks before each scheduled event.
